The Hunter music community would like to proudly announce Willow Macol (BMus ‘23)’s acceptance
in the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival’s Baroque Institute opera program. She will be performing Proserpina in their production of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo.
Willow was chosen amongst many singers auditioning across the nation, and will be intensively training with the program throughout the summer. This program features Baroque performance preparation, masterclasses, and many performance opportunities.
“I am so excited to travel and meet more young opera singers, as well as make new connections
in the field and receive training from some really well known and respected voice coaches. I am so grateful for my voice teacher, Susan Gonzalez, as I couldn’t have achieved any of this without her guidance.”
Willow’s continued success is made possible by the Alda Fund at Hunter College.
