Prof. Burleson is featured on a new Disney+ documentary soundtrack entitled “On Pointe”. The soundtrack includes his performance of Franz Liszt’s, Les jeux d’eaux à la villa d’Este, as well as a good deal of prominent piano parts heard throughout all the episodes. The six-part documentary follows a season with the School of American Ballet, leading to a performance of George Balanchine’s, “The Nutcracker” on stage at Lincoln Center. The documentary’s soundtrack itself is by Jonathan Zalben, with whom Prof. Burleson has worked before as a solo pianist on two HBO documentary soundtracks. “On Pointe” was the subject of an extensive New York Times article, and is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
