Hunter Guitar Faculty, Amanda Monaco Performs Remotely in Lioness: Women in Jazz Concert Series

Sunday, October 18th at 2:30PM, Prof. Monaco will be performing remotely with her Glitter Quartet as the first concert in the Lioness Concert Series. This is a three-concert/Q&A series presented by Lioness, a collective of female jazz instrumentalists/composers/bandleaders and a program of Convergence Arts, a non-profit committed to sharing the art and fun of improvisation with the community at large.

“…While the name sounds cutesy, the conversation is anything but. The music I’ve written for this quartet is based on my long-term relationship with Lauren, my experiences as a female instrumentalist in the music business, and all of the life experiences along the way. It’s equal parts serious, introspective, and whimsical. Hope you enjoy it!” – Amanda Monaco
