The Met Opera is presenting their Vegas rendition of Verdi’s Rigoletto again this coming Feb 2019. This time it will feature one of our very own! Recent Hunter alumni and current Hunter Vocal instructor, Jennifer Roderer will be performing as Giovanna! The Opera will be running from Feb 12- May 10 and tickets will be starting at $30. We are all super stoked and Proud to have our own Hunter Hawk in Rigoletto.
Rigoletto is a 3 act dramatic Italian Opera telling the tale of Rigoletto, the Duke’s Jester, and his unfavorable circumstances. Set in Las Vegas 1960, the Met Opera gives Rigoletto a very modern feeling with neon lights, casinos and gangsters. As we follow Rigoletto throughout the opera, we are not only dazzled by the amazing costumes and set but we also get wrapped in a plot of Rigoletto’s spiraling life under circumstances that he himself cannot control.
