The Hunter College Choir welcomes new members for

The Hunter College Choir welcomes new members for Fall 2023! Auditions take place at the first class on August 28th in Appel Hall. Undergraduates, Graduate Students, Alumni and Community Members make this choir one of the most dynamic in New York City. This fall we will perform works by Fauré and Mozart alongside Margaret Bonds' cantata "The Ballad of the Brown King."

Professor Philip Ewell was recently announced to be a recipient of the highly prestigious 2022 Wilbur Lucius Cross Medal from Yale Graduate School. The Wilbur Cross Medal is the highest honor that Yale Graduate School bestows on its alumni. It was established in 1966 to honor scholars for outstanding achievements resonant with those of Dean Cross during his multifaceted career as academic, professor, and state governor. Congratulations Professor Ewell!

This is what we strive for @huntercollegemusic. Shaping musicians as creators, as leaders in newly-defined spaces, where genres cease to exist, and we just play. Harpists, I’ve got news for ya’ll:

Starting in Fall 2023, The Mihi Cura Futuri Harp Fellowship will offer free tuition for a graduate harpist to study @huntercollege for an MA in performance. If you want to learn more, or have a free trial lesson, comment/message me. Let’s create, let’s define, and let’s play.
